Numbers are the language every business runs on — and it's the one we speak fluently. Whether you're putting up a building or running a neighbourhood café, our job is to translate those numbers into something clear and simple, and to look after your business as if it were our own.
Cost, schedule, and risk under control.
Specialist project controls for contractors, owners and developers across Ontario — baselines, forecasting and earned-value reporting that catch problems while there's still time to act.
See project controlsFor restaurants, trades, logistics and local businesses across the GTA — I show you exactly where you make and lose money, then build the models and reports to fix the problems and boost your bottom line.

Project controls, end to end
One discipline, done properly: the cost, schedule, and reporting backbone that keeps a construction project honest from setup through closeout.
Cost control & forecasting
Budgets, commitments, and cash flow tracked against a baseline, with cost-to-complete and estimate-at-completion forecasting you can defend.
Planning & scheduling
CPM schedules, baseline setting, progress updates, and critical-path and delay analysis that show where the finish date actually stands.
Earned value & reporting
Earned value measurement — PV, EV, AC, CPI and SPI — turned into clear monthly dashboards owners and lenders can read at a glance.
Risk & contingency
Risk registers, contingency drawdown tracking, and quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis to size exposure before it lands.
Controls setup
Standing up project controls on new work — WBS, cost coding, reporting cadence, and the systems a project needs to be measurable.
Not sure where to start?
Tell me about the project and I'll scope the controls it needs.
Business analysis & profitability
The same rigour that keeps big projects on budget, applied to your business — so you can see exactly which products, jobs and decisions make you money, and which quietly cost you.
Profitability analysis
See the true margin on every product, menu item, job or service line — and where profit is leaking — so you can price and focus with confidence.
Excel & financial modelling
Custom spreadsheets built properly: pricing models, job costing, cost-per-unit, and scenarios you can actually trust and reuse.
Cash flow & forecasting
Know what's coming in and going out weeks ahead, so payroll, tax and slow seasons never catch you off guard.
Dashboards & reporting
Clear monthly numbers on one page — revenue, costs, margins and the handful of figures that actually run your business.
Business cases
Thinking of a new location, hire, or big purchase? A clear, numbers-backed case so you decide with evidence, not a gut feel.
Drowning in spreadsheets?
Tell me about your business and I'll show you where the numbers can help.
Ishan Soodan, M.Eng.
ISPM Consulting is a project controls practice built on a simple conviction: most cost and schedule overruns are visible long before they hit, provided someone is measuring the right things and reporting them plainly.
Ishan Soodan brings over ten years of progressive project controls experience across large-scale infrastructure, power, residential, and commercial construction in Canada, Saudi Arabia, and India. He has moved from site engineering into leading project controls, forecasting to 85–90% accuracy against actuals. His work spans budgeting and forecasting, EAC/ETC and earned value management, cash-flow and financial performance analysis, scheduling, and risk and contingency planning.
He holds a Master of Engineering in Construction Engineering & Management from Concordia University, is a member of the Project Management Institute, and works fluently with CCDC contracts and Canadian construction standards. His career spans major infrastructure and construction programs for national utilities, top-tier general contractors, and leading residential developers across Canada and the Middle East — including a power-generation program recognized by MEED as Best Power Generation Project of the Year in Saudi Arabia (2019).
ISPM takes on full engagements, interim and fractional controls support, and independent project audits. Ishan also brings that same analytical rigour to small and growing businesses across the GTA — profitability analysis, financial modelling and clear reporting for owners who want to understand their numbers and make more money.
A controls cycle, not a one-off report
Baseline
Set a realistic cost and schedule baseline, coded to a clear WBS everyone can track against.
Measure
Capture real progress and cost each period and value the work actually earned, not just spent.
Forecast
Project the outturn cost and completion date early, so trends surface while they are still fixable.
Act
Report it plainly and flag the decisions that need making — mitigation, change, or contingency.
